About us

Who we are

Eastern European Bible College was founded in 1994 as an answer to the need for training young people with the call of God for ministry. In the beginning the initiative and the vision of leaders in Oradea like Ioan Bogdan, Teodor Bulzan and Florin Ghiurau were supported by Pastor Lars Hornberg from Sweden and Pastor Ron Robertson of California, USA.
Since 1996 EEBC has been a member of the European Pentecostal Theological Association (EPTA), and at the end of 2004 we completed the process of accreditation with the European Evangelical Accreditation Association (EEAA).
In 1999 the College became an independent legal organization with its own EEBC Foundation.

Mission statements

Strongly anchored in the Word of God and providing a balance between theoretical knowledge, spiritual formation and practical experience, Eastern European Bible College is committed to training missionaries, church planters, teachers and social workers who will serve effectively in the great work of building and expanding God's Kingdom, both in Romania and abroad.

Goals

The main goal of Eastern European Bible College is to train ministers, missionaries, evangelists, and teachers to lead and guide the Church for its main mission of worship, edification and multiplication.
Accomplishing this goal incorporates the following objectives:

Develop in the students deep knowledge of the Christian message and teach them to communicate it effectively;
Equip the students with the appropriate tools for personal systematic study of the Scriptures;
Help the students to develop leadership abilities in their different areas of service;
Help the students to understand the ministry of the church and its role in society;
To develop in students a comprehensive knowledge of society and the role the Christians have in it.

In order to reach these objectives, Eastern European Bible College offers two varied and flexible programs:

a. daily courses over a period of three years with a major in Theology-Christian Education;
b. correspondence courses called International Educational Fellowship (IEF). These are organized into 4 levels of 12 courses each, over a period of two years with majors in Pastoral Training or Christian Education.

What we believe

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God, the only true standard for the believer's life and practice.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; we believe in His second-coming on this earth with power and glory.
We believe the only way to salvation is through repentance and faith in the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Spirit and by the Word of God is absolutely essential for salvation.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is still given to those who ask.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit that enables the believers to live a holy life.
We believe in the resurrection of the saved ones and of the lost ones. The first ones to everlasting life and the second ones to everlasting punishment.
